Android 4.0.4 (ICS) OS [for laptop and netbook]

Android 4.0.4 (ICS) RC2 [x86] [2012, Android OS for laptops and netbooks] with Ethernet | 193MB

Android-X86 project provides the Android operating system, optimized for X86, so you can install Android 4.0.4 Ice Crm Sandwich on laptop or netbook as well as any other operating system.

A few days ago the Android-x86 4.0.4 RC2, based on Android Ice Crm Sandwich 4.0.4, with several excellent improvements, such as the ARM-converter, which allows you to run some appliions on ARM-Android-X86.
Changes in Android X86 4.0.4 RC2 (compared to Android-x86 4.0 RC1):
Linux Kernel 3.0.36 - more drivers and bug fixes
Support JIT-compiler Dalvik, which should make appliions faster
Support for some 3G-Modem
Rdy to run ARM-translator (you still need to manually install the Library )
Support two cameras
Emulator SD-card is replaced on the support of internal storage

While fresh Android-X86 uses ARM-translator, not all ARM-appliions will work, for example, Google Chrome will not work. Angry Birds (like the Amazing Alex), on the other hand, worked for me, using a collection of Android-X86 in VirtualBox, though rather slowly (perhaps via VirtualBox):

I think there are people who are interested in running Netflix with this new relse of Android-X86, but unfortunately, I can not answer this question because it does not work in my country.

How to make the ARM-translator working in Android-X86 4.0.4 RC2

To make the ARM- translator of fresh Android-x86 4.0.4 RC2, you need to download three Buildroid library and copy the system folder (make sure the directory / system marked as allowed to rd and write, when you install Android-X86! )
Libhoudini.so download and copy it to / system / lib /
Libdvm_houdini.so download and copy it to / system / lib /
Download arm_libs, unpack the downloaded archive and place the files in / system / lib / arm /
Download VirtualBox

Official collections Android-X86 is no support Ethernet, so you will not connect to the network when using Android-X86 in VirtualBox. But you can use a custom collection of Android-X86 4.0.4 RC2, which adds support for Ethernet (thanks Ron M for the book!).

This assembly is built library ARM-interpreter. This is a debug-compilation, so that sometimes affects red box - the only way to get around this - Android-X86 compile from source and apply the yourself Ethernet (or find another way of ISO Android-X86 4.0.4 RC2 with the for Ethernet).

Important: If the mouse does not work properly, select from the menu VirtualBox: Machine> Disable Mouse Integration.
