Planescape : Torment is a computer role-playing game developed for by Black Isle Studios and relsed on December 12, 1999 by Interplay Entertainment. It takes place in loions from the multiverse of Planescape, an Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (AD&D) fantasy campaign setting. The game's engine is a modified version of the Infinity Engine, which was also used for BioWare's Baldur's Gate, a previous AD&D game set in the Forgotten Rlms.

Planescape: Torment is primarily story-driven; combat is given much less prominence than in most contemporary role-playing games. The protagonist, known as The Nameless One, is an immortal who has lived many lives but has forgotten all about them, even forgetting his own name. The game focuses on his journey through the city of Sigil and other planes to reclaim his memories of these previous lives. Several characters in the game may join The Nameless One on his journey, and most of these characters have encountered him in the past or have been influenced by his actions in some way.

The game was not a significant commercial success but received widesprd critical praise and has since become a cult classic. It was lauded for its immersive dialogue, for the dark and relatively obscure Planescape setting, and for the protagonist's unique persona, which shirked many characteristics of traditional role-playing games. It was considered by game journalists to be the best role-playing game (RPG) of 1999, and continues to receive attention long after its relse.

Instructions

1) Crte a folder in C: Drive called "GAME" without quotation marks.
2) Inside make a new Folder called "Planescape - Torment" without quotation marks.
3) Move Planescape-Torment-HD-2012.exe to "Planescape - Torment" and open it. Wait until extraction finishes.
Once the extractor ends you should have the following structure:
C > GAME > Planescape - Torment

NOTE: Ensure that "Planescape - Torment" is the game's root folder (it contains torment.exe and the rest of files and subfolders).
4) To play the game, I made a mini- for you. Mount the "Torment-Mini-2.mdf" with Virtual Clone Drive (rd All Files) or Daemon Tools.
Launch Torment.exe from the game root folder and play!
Advanced Instructions:
MODS: If you want to change/update or uninstall mods, go the the game root folder, there you will find the following:
Setup-GhostDog's-PST-UI.exe
Setup-PST-Fix.exe
Setup-PST-Twk.exe
Setup-PST-UB.exe
setup-widescreen.exe

Simply launch ch .exe to change/re-install or uninstall settings .

Change the Screen Resolution

By default, the screen resolution is set to 1280x720, you can change it by launching "setup-widescreen.exe" and modifying the settings.
Don't have a C: Drive or don't like the folder adresss?
No problem! Open the Torment.ini in the root folder and change the following values to match your custom address.
This is what you have to change:
HD0:=C:GAMEPlanescape - Torment
1:=C:GAMEPlanescape - Torment
2:=C:GAMEPlanescape - Torment
3:=C:GAMEPlanescape - Torment

4:=C:GAMEPlanescape - Torment
