TowerFall Ascension is a fighting game playable on archery four local platforms. Players confront ch by collecting magical items in chests and trying to dodge the fire of their opponents.

TowerFall Ascension is the definitive version of the hit archery combat game. Inspired by classics from the golden age of couch multiplayer, it's a local party game centering around hilarious, intense versus matches. The core mechanics are simple and accessible, but hard to master and combat is fierce. Loot trsure chests for game-changing power-ups, master the art of ching arrows out of the air, or descend on your foes and stomp them into submission. TowerFall is best played competitively with friends, cross-legged on the floor within punching distance of ch other. New in Ascension is the 1- or 2-player co-op Quest mode. Players work together, fighting off a variety of monsters and enemy archers across the land of TowerFall. It's a new adventure to explore when you don't have more friends handy to square off against.

TowerFall is a 2013 archery arena indie game crted by Matt Thorson where up to four players use arrows and hd-stomps to fight in a battle royale. It was relsed as an Ouya microconsole exclusive on June 25, 2013, and was later ported to PlayStation 4, , Linux, Mac OS X in 2014 as TowerFall Ascension. TowerFall was Thorson's first full game, and it grew from a June 2012 game jam single-player prototype. Thorson tested the game on his indie developer colues with whom he lived, and developed its capacity as a party game. Its mechanics were inspired by games of Thorson's youth, such as Bushido Blade and Goldeneye 007, and influenced by feedback received at the Evolution Championship Series fighting game tournament. The game was known as the standout title for the Ouya at the console's launch, and sold well. ___________________________________
